...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Trinity River at Riverside affecting Trinity, Polk, Walker and San Jacinto Counties. San Bernard River near Boling affecting Brazoria, Fort Bend and Wharton Counties. San Bernard River near Sweeny affecting Brazoria County. East Fork San Jacinto near New Caney affecting Harris, Montgomery and Liberty Counties. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas... Long King Creek near Livingston affecting Polk and San Jacinto Counties. Menard Creek near Rye affecting Polk, Hardin and Liberty Counties. Tres Palacios River near Midfield affecting Wharton and Matagorda Counties. For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Romayor, Goodrich, Liberty, Moss Bluff...Moderate flooding is forecast. For the Menard Creek...including Rye...Moderate flooding is forecast. For the East Fork San Jacinto River...including New Caney, Cleveland...Moderate flooding is forecast. For the San Bernard River...including Sweeny, East Bernard, Boling... Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...San Bernard River near Boling. * WHEN...Until early Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins upstream from the gage with significant backwater flooding up Peach Creek in Wharton County inundating low lying areas. Minor backwater flooding up Snake Creek in Fort Bend County begins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 18.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:15 PM CDT Friday was 18.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.9 feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.9 feet on 12/15/1976. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Information: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. In southeast Texas, Bolivar Peninsula, Brazoria Islands, Chambers, Coastal Brazoria, Coastal Galveston, Coastal Harris, Coastal Matagorda, Fort Bend, Galveston Island, Inland Brazoria, Inland Galveston, Inland Harris, Inland Matagorda, Matagorda Islands, Northern Liberty, Southern Liberty and Wharton. * WHEN...Through Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Another round of moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms is possible overnight tonight into Saturday morning.
